SBI Associate Banks PO Exam – 2014 Syllabus and Scheme:
The State Bank of India notified SBI Associate Banks PO Examination – 2014 consists of two Phases as follows:
I) Phase – I Examination consists of Object Test for 200 Marks and Descriptive Test for 50 Marks.
II) Phase-II shall be consisting of Group Discussion (20 Marks) & Interview (30 Marks).
The State Bank of India makes it mandatory for the candidates to qualify in all four Test Papers by securing the Passing Marks separately, to be decided by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India.
The candidates have to qualify the Descriptive Test by obtaining the Passing Marks separately, to be decided by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India.
The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would evaluate the Descriptive Test of only those candidates who have scored Qualifying Marks in the Objective Tests and placed adequately high as per Total Marks in the Objective Test.
The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in objective test.
The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department shall carry out Final Selection from among the Top Merit Ranked candidates in each category.
The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would carry out the Final Selection of the candidates subject to their having qualified both in Phase – I & Phase – II separately based on their performance and the marks obtained by them as stipulated by the State Bank of India.
The State Bank of India prescribes the following Criteria for the candidates for Final Selection:
Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The Final Merit List is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category.
The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would announce and publish the Final Select List of the candidates in Employment Newspapers / Rozgar Samachar Patra.
The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department would also place on the State Bank of India Website http://www.sbi.co.in/ the Results of only those candidates who might have qualified for Phase – II Test as well as the List of the finally selected candidates.
